Russian Posiedon' (Посейдон) / Status-6' (Статус-6) / Skif (Скиф) / KANYON (-NATO Codename, tbc)

A Russian Ministry of Defense video (https://www.facebook.com/mod.mil.rus/videos/2138717883037623/) shows the first footage of a Poseidon (Status-6 / Skif / KANYON) weapon. Several new details are revealed.

The weapon in the video is mounted on a test stand and is undergoing basic system tests:

The video shows the stern of the weapon, which differs in small details to the earliest Russian depictions. The four control surfaces are able to move independently and rotate down and aft for stowage in the launch tube. The pump-jet is significantly smaller in diameter than the weapon itself:

The cylindrical frame attached to the back of the pumpjet is not part of the weapon.

The cylindrical frame attached to the back of the pumpjet is not part of the weapon.

Noticeably, the video appears to show the pumpjet turbine rotating although the video is deliberately blurred. The weapon is claimed to be nuclear powered but this does not appear to be a suitable location to test the power plant so possibly it’s an optical illusion.

The video includes a computer generated sequence which again shows the stern of the weapon. This model has been used in previous promotional videos and is generally consistent with the real weapon.
